Lifting Solutions Made Simple: Manual Jib Crane Manufacturers Unveiled

Lifting Solutions Made Simple: Manual Jib Crane Manufacturers Unveiled

The Manual Jib Crane is susceptible to misalignment after prolonged use. The crane tends to lean to one side, which puts excessive stress on the machine. In addition, misalignment creates the risk of the crane falling during operation, usually on the side it was resting on. Misalignment causes a force not contemplated in the crane design to affect its operation.

In addition to producing loud scraping sounds during operation at Venus Engineers, a misaligned crane will also cause premature wear to the motors. Therefore, cranes should be repaired immediately after a misalignment has been detected. It is recommended that maintenance be performed quarterly and by a crane inspector with over 10,000 hours of experience.

Inspect chains and connections.

Crane chains are made to last for many years despite normal wear and tear. However, that doesn't mean they shouldn't be reviewed. Crane operators should replace chains when they indicate excessive wear, have significant amounts of rust, or appear damaged. In addition to ensuring that all connections, joints and chains are cleaned and lubricated once or twice a year and inspected before operating the crane to minimize frictional wear, the crane operator should perform a detailed inspection every month to document the condition of the chain and if it is damaged in any way.

Make sure the hook is intact.

The Manual Jib Crane Manufacturers uses hooks to attach the load to a chain before lifting heavy loads and equipment. Therefore, the hook must always be in good working condition. It is advisable to check the hook for many issues. If the hook tip has been bent over 100, it must be replaced. Replacement is also recommended if it has been in contact with chemicals and has acquired some deformations or cracks. The throat opening of the hook should be at most 15%, and its load point should be worn by at most 10%. The hook latch should also be inspected to determine if it is missing or inoperative and needs replacement.

Check air and hydraulic systems daily.

To move loads, Jib Crane uses a pneumatic and hydraulic system. Some of the crane hydraulic systems have the following components at Venus Engineers:

  • Tank: Holds the oil that will be applied.
  • Pump: Supplies the pressure needed to move objects.
  • Valves: Manage flow and pressure.
  • Actuators: Produce mechanical energy from a pressurized fluid.

Before usage, these parts should be regularly checked for corrosion and deterioration. Leaks in pipes should be examined every day.

Replace wheels

The wheels of the crane support the load of the equipment being used. They require frequent inspection before using the crane. When tyres are used for a long time, they must be replaced due to normal wear. When inspecting wheels, particular attention should be paid to uneven wear as it may indicate another problem.

Add lubrication

The crane's moving parts can operate more smoothly and with less friction when they are lubricated. The different parts must be lubricated with specific oils appropriate for the climate. The gearbox must be lubricated with pool oil. In the summer, N78 gear oil or 20 gear oil should be used, and in the winter, N100 load gear oil or 30 gear oil.

According to Jib Crane Manufactures, the hydraulic brake actuator should be lubricated with No. 25 transformer oil during summer. Use No. 10 instruments or aviation oil in the winter. Lithium-based grease No. 2 in the summer and No. 1 in the winter should be used to lubricate the open gear, gear coupling, and certain bearing components. Lubricating bolts and joints with 45 oil or grease containing lithium is recommended. Synthetic grease with a calcium-graphite basis should be used as the steel cable lubricant.

Schedule regular oil changes.

According to Venus Engineers, Oil changes are helpful because they ensure your crane's engine runs smoothly. Therefore, the operator should inspect the crane oil level weekly and refill it according to the manual instructions once the level is reduced.
